Hi and welcome to CF, I myself went with the AAL and they sagged after a year (about 1 inch) so I wish I went with the full leaf pack...Tj

Hey, I have a 97 cherokee and bought the 3 inch lift from rough country with the aals about 2 months ago. I had recently got new leafs so the add a leaf was not a problem. upgraded to the rc 9000 shocks which are gas charged and for 25 extra bucks you cant go wrong, also got a new steering stabilizer. only thing about it was I had to drop the transfercase on mine(lots of vibrations) and personally thought it would be little tight with 31s (didnt want that stuffed looked). So I got 1.5 inch shackels and coil spring spacers just ordered them the other day. But Rough Country makes a great lift and is very well priced! No complaints other than I wish I would have gotten the 4.5 inch to begin with lol

i acutally just got my mechanic to figure out the sizes i needed and went to a shop that makes leaf springs they did it there. but i assume there are a bunch of online sites where you could buy them. check out www.quadratec.com . best bet if you want new leaf springs is to figure out the sizes call a shop that makes them and compare that price to what it would cost to get them from rough country. it looks like it will cost about 255$ for new springs from rough country, i dont imagine they would try and screw you to much but youd likely be cheaper to get them made up on your own . dont quote me but i think i paid around 200 for my new leafs

I bought my first and only RC 3" lift in 1996. It was a short add a leaf kit from jc whitney. I had that lift kit in 3 different jeeps. The last one is the 1996 I am currently driving. The first 2 jeeps used the short add a leaf, Which I did not care for. It revers arched the main leaf over time. The 1996 uses a full length add a leaf, and has held up much better. The front springs are still going strong.

Mine came today. It comes with shock boots and u-bolts for both axles and all hardware. They only list D35 hardware on the site. Been soaking bolts with PB Blaster for a few days now. Might put it in this weekend. Meaning D-35 and 81/4.

when replaced my rear shocks the top bolts also broke off. i had to drill and tap with a larger bolt. i heard PB blaster works well if you spray in advance and let it soak a bit.

I had the same problem lowering the front axle enough to get the springs on. just unbolt as much as you can, i used a long pry bar and that helps get the springs on. mind you i still used spring compressors, i imagine it would be very hard to do it without. espically when you have one on the other side would be a lot harder. just make sure to grease your front drive shaft joints again, a lot squeezes out when you pull the front axle down that far. im sure you could rent the compressors from a rent-all place .......

and my bolts on the rear shocks snapped to. like bfisher42 i had to drill and tap with larger bolts..... pain in the *** but the end product was worth it
