Any tips?
The weather seems like it is finally going to cooperate with me tomorrow. I am planning on taking off my rear sway bar. Any tips or tricks to making the job a little easier?
I know the bolts are going to be a pain and take lots of PB blaster to get off there. I still don't have a propane torch so that's out for now.
Any tips are helpful!
I also plan on swapping my drivers seat with the passenger seat (drivers side has the well known sag) I want the GOOD seat darnit!!
Can I just direct swap them or do I need to take the brackets off and swap the brackets too?

I removed my rear sway yesterday. The only advice I can give is...have a sawz-all or cut-off wheel ready. I managed to get my bolts loose, but then they broke off the nuts inside the frame, so they wouldn't come all the way out. I cut em off and went on my merry way.

Normally I wouldn't bother with it but it is getting REALLY annoying always leaning to the left when driving.
The passenger side seat is not broken like that so I want the GOOD seat on the drivers side.

Do you hear banjos?
Cut the anti-sway at the link points, and pull it out. The only tools you need to do it is a grinder with a cut off wheel. Then you can soak everything in PB, and take the links off later...

Yeah, I only have hand tools so far. So I have to do it the hard way and remove the bolts.

Got it out of there...the bolts were actually in decent condition. Not much rust at all. I only broke one bolt off in the frame. The hardest part was working the sway bar out from under there. I had to work around pretty much everything. It would have been 100X easier if I could get my tires off. PO put a locking lug on each wheel.
Anyway its off.
Anyway its off.
