Here's someone. The one with the spring is the wire that leads to the base of the antenna. The other is the one that leads to the radio

are we set now? it will all make sense when you get the new wire, and if you havent ordered it yet might wanna check radio shack for that wire unless its too much of a drive.
i would say that 95% of antenna wires dont have that spring it confuses me why its there seems counter productive to try and force two things apart that need to be tightly mated
