Default the answer to my problem was a 3 dollar part

I had issues with my jeep not starting at all. Had the whole thing looked over and the shop said my battery was at fault

battery tested fine at 3 different places

we were leaning towards the starter, then it hit me

The jeep would start everytime i removed the battery

turns out the positive and negative wires in the battery clamps were corroded

3 dollars in new napa clamps, jeep runs like never before...

Just a suggestion to all, go to napa, buy new battery clamps today. Spend 20 min putting them on and save yourself a headache down the road

They are cheap! Its easy to do! No excuses!

Praise Jebus!

Do people not look at these things first?

Don't stop at just the clamps, tho.

Upgrade the cables and ground connections if you can.

Guy here going by 5-90 sells cable upgrades. Its a good idea.

Sometimes it has to happen to you before you learn to check those things going forward.

I learned this same way on my old Ranger..had all kinds of wonky electrical problems. Replaced alternator, battery and still had the issues...then I carefully was looking at the wiring and discovered that the positive clamp wasn't crimped to the wire the whole way. Re-crimped it and all was fine! Free fix. D'oh! Now I'll be sure to check that every time going forward if I have any electrical problems. Double-checked those on my Jeep when hooking up my winch.

Cheap fixes are the best ,but new cables should be at top of todo list.

I'm not saying it's difficult to overlook but in my opinion that's the first thing you should triple check on a no crank situation. You need power before it's going to do anything.

And those cables and clamps he sells are amazing. I replaced both positive and negative and the ground cable from the block to the body. A+++++ would buy again
