Default another foglight question

Hey everyone, I have a 2000 xj with stock fog light option. I removed the foglights when I bought it and they didn't work anyways. I used the stock wires to run some cheap walmart lights. When I first tested them they worked. Now they don't. With the lights unplugged the wires have voltage but don't work plugged in. Its not the lights either cause I tried some other lights and still didn't work. Oh and the light on the insideon the switch works when flipped on if that matters. I couldn't find a fuse for them even though they have power and in the fuse panel under the hood the spot for the fog relays there is nothing there. There isn't even terminals on the inside to push a relay into. Just seeing if someone has any ideas before I just rewire it all. Thanks. Oh and could it be the switch even though it all seems to work? Oh and the bulbs are 55w h3 bulbs. Not sure what the factory ones are. Thanks again

Hey Boostedecos, I am looking at doing the same thing. I removed my stock fogs when I cut the skirt off my bumper. I was looking at some 55w walmart replacements and wanted to install them to my stock wires. Did you use the harness from the stock lights? I was thinking of cutting the stock harness from the original lights and splicing it to the new lights. Is this what you did? Do you have any photos of you set up.

Um yeah I just cut the connectors off the stock fog lights and connected the pig tails to the new lights then just plug them in. Sorry no pics at the moment.

Sorry guys, think I'm being thick here! I have a 98 Cherokee with the stock fogs, like you the switch lights up but nothing at the front. The bulbs look ok, the wires look connected, can't find the fuse. Where should I check for the grounding?

Just a note, check your switch first! My fog lights work but only if you put the switch in the on position and then push it in, up or wiggle it about!

Bringing this back too.

I bought a replacement factory switch for my fogs about 2 months ago. I installed it and the fogs worked again.......for about 2 weeks, then nothing. I know the switch didn't already fail. Performing some swaptronic troubleshooting I swapped the Fog relay and the A/C clutch relay...no different. Bulbs can't be blown, I get 32ohms on the light harness.

I miss having fog lights. Any ideas?
