I just got a 10" pioneer sub for free and im wondering what amp I should get for it. I dont see a model number on it anywhere so theres really no way for me to tell you the exact one I have. I dont want an amp thats gonna rattle my brains out just somethin that adds a little bass to my ROCK music...NOT RAP.
Look for a TMA amp. They're made by JL audio, and they are really good. If you dont mind buying from ebay than this is a really good amp/deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/TMA-T1000-1-1000-WATT-CLASS-D-AMPLIFIER-CLASS-D-AMP-JL_W0QQitemZ130292261575QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amp lifiers?hash=item130292261575&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 &_trkparms=72%3A570|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50
I have a Kenwood 8140D it is 300RMS and 1000Watt max. I ahave 2 10" Sony slim series subs in sony boxes both are 330 RMS and 1200 Watt max. So I am basically giving each 1/3-1/2 the power they can handle. I listen to rock also, and like my bass and to "feel" the music.

If your sub can handle which it probably can get a Kenwood 8140D for $200 at Best Buy, I got one and love it.
Also to the person who said more ampage is better, I learned from the tech that you want less amp watts and more sub watts so you dont blow you subs. But more is better

to be completely honest u dont need any more power than what a 600watt amp can offer for a single 10, ive had my share of systems, with a 600watt amp and a ported box youll be fine, if thats all you want to go for is a little bass

ive got 3 boston G5 12s in a custom ported box in my montero with a 1200.1 Jl amp and hit a 153 at a local competition, but i like that set up pretty radical for a 4x4toy, i thought about putting mine in the jeep but couldnt bring myself to do it, i use the jeep to much for work

Total (TMA) is just made by the cheapest bidder.
