Evening everybody. I was noticing a thin layer of disc brake dust after new calipers/pads etc. after about 200 miles already, maybe 50 of it stop and go manhattan style bumper to bumper... Is that usual? The wear is even on both sides of the front, while the rear drums obviously look way cleaner. I think im gonna try ceramic pads next time.

Only problem with switching to ceramic pads is that ceramic pads are a lot harder, and can generate a lot more heat than soft semi-metallic pads, which can warp your rotors if you’re not careful

Semi metallic pads just give off a lot of dust. If you do a lot of stop and go driving, then yeah it’s gonna make a lot of brake dust, especially with how heavy these Jeeps are.
