Ah cool, about an hour and a half north of me I think.
While I haven't beat the crap out of it, I occasionally gun it, or take it over some rough terrain. No telling what happening to it before I got to it.
I'll look up how to see if it's burning out anyways, rather be safe then pissed off.

Despite these two having minor leaks, the oil did not drop to any amount that I could notice.
No blue smoke, but more white smoke during warm up than I see other vehicles have. Probably due to it running too rich.
Thank you for your help!

Wow, everything installed, no check engine light.
Checked tire pressure, air filter, oil.
86 miles and 6 gallons of gas later and 14 or so mpg.....f$*#& great...basically no improvement.
So $250 later and NOTHING...I'm so pissed right now. It runs fine, power seems to be there, everything checks out ok on the dash.
Does the computer take time to re-calibrate?
I think I'll have the fuel pressure checked, but I really doubt thats the problem.

Reset the computer, take your battery cables off for about half an hour.
After half an hour, touch them together for about 10 seconds and reconnect.
Your computer will lose its memory and start relearning the fuel curve as you drive.
Drive easy for about 50 miles or more, so It can learn.
During this time, your trans may shift weird and It might feel low on power until it relearns.
If that doesnt help you may have a bad coolant temp sensor or something.

Yeah I'll do that. Touch the two pieces directly together? While one is disconnected touch it to the other? For some reason that sounds like a bad idea?
No, disconnect both cables from the battery (Pos. and Neg.) and let it sit for half an hour. Some people suggest to push the horn button for 10 seconds before you reconnect the battery cables, others recommend to touch the battery cables together and then reconnect. I guess now In hindsight I should of just recommended pushing the horn button, so disregard my previous post on touching them together and just use the horn.

Cool man, thanks I appreciate it. I'll go do it now.
I'm still at a loss to all the money I just spent thinking everything was going to be ok haha. I put some Lucas fuel injector cleaner in it today too.
If I don't see any improvement after this next tank I'll be back here searching or posting.

Can you guys suggest anything else for me to check?
Here is what I have done, or is ok.
New catalytic converter.
Both new 02 sensors.
Clean air filter.
Regular oil changes.
New tires, filled to 39psi(were at 34psi).
Fuel injector cleaner put in.
As for the coolant temp sensor, would that have any effect on my thermostat? My jeep gets to and maintains its running temp at a hair below 210 without any problems.
I asked a mechanic if he could check the fuel pressure for me, and he said it was $25 and that really shouldnt affect fuel mileage that badly.
Also, my father put on a new stock muffler, and shortly thereafter the check engine light came on a mileage went down. Could the new muffler have any effect on mpg?
