I got my build sheet and according to it my xj came with a 124amp. I know others came with larger so id like to upgrade so I dont run into.issues when I do my lights and winch. What others came stock and are they a strait swap? Also how can I tell what one is what, are they stamped on the case?

interesting....i got a 98 with a/c, it had the 90 amp stock, i upgraded to the 120 amp and had to bracket some home made mount because it was so big...also my strap is pretty much at max length now, perfect fit, lol

 

If i remember correctly you can switch to an alternator from a Dodge Dakota with the 2.5L in it.

 

I wish my 98 had a 124 amp. mine came with 117amp.
