Alternator

When im driving and i get on the gas everything dims down a bit headlights gages all lights basically than when i let off they go steady. Is this my alternator going bad?

sounds like it, have a multimeter? check the output on the Alt.

How do i do that i test my battery all the time it stays in the 12 theres a little squeak in my belt maybe its too lose i have the limited edition high output xj too i know they require a special alt

How loose is a little should not be able to twst belt more than a 1/4 inch without extreme pressure

Oh i just wiggle the belt its self an it moves about a little less than a half inch

you should mot be able to turh it more than 90 degrees without great pressure .
