Default are all wheel u joints the same?

To make a long story short I went to 4 Wheel Parts today to get ball joints and asked about u joints and the guy told me they are all the same 84-01 and ot didnt matter if i had abs or not. I thought I read

There are 2 different sizes but I don't remember the year break. I don't think ABS had much to do with that but I've been wrong before.

Oh ok. Well any input is greatly appreciated.
I know in autozones website they ask if it has ABS or not and from what I remember the cup sizes were different

There are different sizes. 87-94 without abs has 260x u joints. 87-94 with abs has 297x u joints.

All 95+ xjs have 297x u joints with or without abs.

I think in 2000-2001 they have the stronger 760x u joints.

Of course, these are axle u joints.

All xj drive shaft u joints are the same between the years.

Not quite right, but close.

"89-95 with ABS have 5-297x u-joints, all 95+ have 5-297x u-joints, all others have 5-260x u-joints"

As per http://jeephorizons.com/tech/xjstockspecs.html great site by the way.

Also, some are greasable & some are not.The ones that you can grease are hollow,so that the grease can flow though it, & therefore weaker. The others are solid & stronger but will fail sooner since they are non-servicable.

jeep horizon didn't include the 87 and 88's with abs which has 297 and without abs is 260 (vac disconnect).
all 95's with or without abs has 297, so really 87-94 with abs has 297 and without abs has 260.
it sounds weird, but yeah, brian, you are more accurate. but in all reality, you are both right.
