Default Are all TC Drops created equal?

I recently put in a 3" RC Series II with the full spring pack. So far I am very happy with the lift but I do have slight drive shaft vibes and thought a Transfer Case Drop would be in order.
From what I have read a 1" drop is apropriate for 3"-4" of lift. My problem is I didnt realize how many variations of drops there are.

So far I have found:
Straight Poly Bushings
Poly bushing with a steel tube where the bolt goes through.
Steel Bushings
Rectangular Blocks
Last but certainly not least...A replacement crossmember with 1" drop.

I realize Im not talking about a big difference in price so Id like to know if anyone has had more success with one type over the other.

Thanks

I bought the kit from RC and it works great. My friend made the same kit with aluminum blocks and longer bolts/nuts and his works the same as mine so to answer your question IMHO most are all the same...Tj

Just about all the same. Go with the Skyjacker one. It re-uses the factory bolts so you don't have to take the one from the frame out. Have a ratchet strap with hooks on hand also. If you're going to leave the crossmember bolted to the trans., the bushing will twist some. No big problem, but, the ratchet strap comes in handy at that time.

they're all pretty much the same. you can even make your own for cheaper. just buy longer bolts and enough washers and your good to go. when i got vibes i just keep adding washers to my stock bolts until the vibes went away. i only had to add a few washers on each bolt so i didnt lose a full inch of ground clearance that a 1" t case drop would've.

a drop is a drop. so pretty much any TC drop will be the same.

but, you could always do what i did and modify your stock crossmember. i now have a 1.5" TC drop without having to drop the crossmember at all

Please explain, I'm very interested in not losing ground clearance.

basically it involves making the transmission mounting location on the bottom of the crossmember instead of up inside it, this means some cutting and welding to make clearance for the front driveshaft and room for the mount to sit down inside the crossmember.

i may have to pull it off to take some pics of the cutting/welding. but this is the only picture i have of it.

sorry for the dirty pic

if you want about 1" drop and not lose ground clearance just get a 5 speed cross member from the junk yard (built in) and you dont have to mess with washers and bolts , bolts right up!
