Airbag light?
So I start up my stock 99' today and the airbag light comes on, solid, and the tac and speedo are not working for maybe 1 min. It then goes out and everything is back to normal. I drive about 5 miles and park. I get back in the rig after about 5 min, and fire it up. Same thing. Airbag light on solid, no tac or speedo for about 1 min, then the light goes out and everything is fine.
Any ideas? I changed the front bumper about a week ago, but driving since then has shown no issues till today. Also put in a Yellow top ultima battery, but again it's been fine for over a week.

I am having the same issue. From what everyone is saying on the forums is to pull the cluster and check the connection. Might need to clean it and put some dielectric grease in there.
If anyone know a fix for this I am in need of it too.

Small story about Dielectric grease..
I had a Crank position sensor going out on one of my Jeeps. I went and picked up a OEM CPS at dealer went on did the job and all went like it should(a few beat up knuckles).
During the install my brother in law(who was helping) said "Hey did you put Dielectric grease in the plug?" I said "no",, to shorten the story I put some down in the plug. I jumped in and tried to start it, nothing it would just crank. I thought hmmm, Looked the work over and all looked fine. Lets try again,,then a code came up(don't remember #) I took the CPS back to dealer picked up new, did the job again. Same thing but a little different. This time code was telling me low volts CPS or something like that. How could two OEM CPS be bad I thought.
I stopped what I was doing and hit the NET reading thread after thread getting nowhere. I came across a post from CCKen in Jeepforum about how Dielectric grease is Non-conductive. I went right out to the Jeep after reading that and cleaned out the plug and pins the best I could(used diesel fuel to cut the grease lol its all I had).
Did the crossed fingers start and boom started right up.. I made a call to Brother in law soon after .
So thats what happen to me when using D-grease the wrong way.
Thanks again Ken for leaving info on the web ppl can find

Animals song:
There is a myth on the Jeep forums,
They call the Dielectric Grease,
It's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know you're one.
LOL
Sing along...

LOL..
My father was a Dielectric Grease man down in New orleans,
Now the only thing a Dielectric Grease man needs is a suitcase full of that junk,
And the only time he's satisfied is when he's ****ed up your truck by putting that stuff on every plug
Organ plays
Mother tell your children not to do what I have done,
cause I was one..
