Default Air condition wiring mishap

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ with the 4.0L and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I replaced the entire A/C system but there is one messed up wire that connects the PCM to the fuse box. Does anyone know an easy way to fix this because it has knocked out my A/C and electric fan. Thanks in advance

Would love to help, but don't know how "messed up" your wire is or which wire exactly.

Was the messed up wire messed up before you replaced the entire AC system?

Can you take a picture and post it so I can tell what we are talking about?

The PCM should be on the driver's fender adjacent to the airbox. The fuse box I presume is on the opposite side by the battery.
Is the messed up wire in a harness or by itself?

more details needed

splice the wire back together ?

good idea to download the '95 FSM (correct for '96) and refer to the A/C electrical section

So it is actually in the wiring harness so I don’t know if it got rubbed raw but I can’t see the wire per say. I got it in a shop and they are working on it I was just curious just in case I have to do it again. If I could find it, I would splice it but I don’t want to open the harness and mess something up worse. Below is a picture of the engine bay as well.
