Electric cooling fan wn't run
96 Cherokee Sport. 4.0 6 cyl. If I jumper terminals 1 and 4 at relay terminal, the fan runs. Will not run with A/C turned on. So I assume the sensor is not the problem. But, not sure where to go from here. Any help much obliged. Thanks.
And yes I just joined the forum, never knew it was here.

Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram of electric fan circuit for the 96 Cherokee? If its just a bad part in the circuit, for not too much money, I would like to fix it.

find the relay and a circuit that only comes on when you have the key in the on position. then you run to a switch and then to the relay. if you do this right the fan will only go on when you turn on the key but you will be able to turn it off when the weather gets cold ( trust me when its snowing you really don't want it on. you won't get much heat!!).

Thanks for great advice. One more thing, I went to parts store today and they showed two identical relays in the circuit. I can only find one. I hate to start changing parts, I have a Fluke tester and some knowledge with electrical circuits, I just need a diagram. I think if I am going to start rewiring, I might do what bigcountry96 suggested, and replace everything. But for know I would like to fix the original setup, or at least know what the problem is.
