Default Advice needed changing torque converter fluid

I am redoing a 99 Cherokee for my wife and am about ready to put the new engine in. Should I change the fluid in the torque converter while I have the engine out or let good enough be. The Jeep has 120K on it also is their any thing else I should be checking while I got the engine out.

I'd leave it. Did you remove the TC? If so, be darn sure you have it seated correctly to the trans before stabbing the engine in.

Address any corrosion in the engine bay area while there's room to work on it. Pay special attention to the front brake lines that run along the firewall. If they are corroded near each fender opening now's the time to change them.

I did not think about the lines thanks, I did steam clean the entire engine bay then I followed up with a phosphoric acid rinse to eliminate any rust. No I did not remove the torque converter I figured I would ask before I removed it. How long is the fluid in the converter good for.

It circulates in and out with the rest of the trans fluid.
