Well i got a 96 Sport running RC 3" w/ LCAs and a steering stabilizer. I', trimming the fenders this weekend relocating my trackbar. Eventually i want a new one with a HD mount (Rustys). I want to add a 1.5" spacer in the front and 2" shackle in the rear. I've heard you need LCA's for 4" and above. Ppl run 33s on 4.5" just fine with minor trims depending on model. An SYE kit might be needed for 4.5" and above I think. YOu'll need longer brake lines possibly and more MAYBE I'm wrong dont hold me to it.
Hope it helps.

depending on the xj you can get away with a transfer case drop instead of the sye saves some cash also, i ran 6.5 lift with 33s for 5 years with the drop no fenedr cutting

Thats true. I forgot to mention. If your off the trail and dont mind losing a little clearance go for the T-case drop to save money. RC has a SYe for 200 and you need a new driveshaft

its a little hard you have to cut the rear shat wit a die grinder then drill a hole in the center of the shaft then tap in the threads then put on new flange with seal bolt on new yoke and front shaft the hardest part is the drilling and tapping
