AC and the blower resitor
I am going to get my parts today, to get this ol Jeep on the road..
Brakes, calipers, rotors, lifters, gaskets, Tstat.. Oil, filters.. It's all adding up fast.. Also..
I need a blower resistor, my fan only blows on 4.. But I was wondering, if that might be why the AC wont kick on.. I am wondering if I replace the resistor, if the AC might engage for me.. Are they somehow connected?

blower motor resistor has nothing to do with ac just fan speed there kinda costly make sure its getting current to the connections b4 buying some time the dash switch can causethe same issue

The blower is working on high only because the other resistor wire are either corroded or burnt thru and no longer conducting electricity.
The A/C system has a low pressure switch in the refrig. line so that the compressor clutch will not come on if the syst. is low on refrig. You can jump that protective switch out for a second or 2 with a jumper wire and see if the a/c clutch pulls in , then you know it is low or out of refrig. (Don't run the compressor by the use of a jumper wire if the syst. has no refrigerant in it) That means the system is leaking or has leaked the entire syst down to "O"
