ABS DRB11
1998 4.0 XJ
Has anyone found a scanner to do an ABS bleed, changed the caliper, until then ABS was fine but the caliper was a faulty casting and shattered, now ABS light is on all the sensors checked. When Jeep was took over by Fiat they will not supply parts or service in my country for the older jeeps ( English living in Poland) the alternative is to delete the ABS with a Mopar 5083808aa Proportioning valve has anyone done this ? for inspection if ABS is fitted it must work

My ABS on my 97 was causing me issues as well. I changed the sensors, cleaned the rings, replaces all the brakes but it still kept messing up. Sometimes would lock my rear tires while coming to a stop. My fix...pull the ABS fuse. I no longer have ABS and thats ok with me. Take this advise at your own risk. For me ive driven non ABS equipped vehicles my whole life and have seen no difference.
