Default About that lift that is driving me crazy(help needed)

I have been searching for 3 weeks and am no closer to figuring out what setup to use now then I was 3 weeks ago
Don't need a lift past anything that will change configuration, if I can go up a touch not a problem. stock height is fine also.
My azz is sagging and the XJ has 200000 on it so she has been getting freshened up by me.
I want to have a nice ride,I drive street 95% of the time off road %5 to get to my fishing spots.
I looked at all the configurations from OME and stock to hd.
I don't want to modify anything as far as a TC drop or front end.
I also want to change the front springs and there seems to be way too many configurations for my brain to comprehend and I don't want to mess this up.
I have some weight in it but not too much.
I wont be adding any heavy off road mods.
If anyone can direct me on what to do I would appreciate it a ton as I am used to lowering cars .
I do not need shocks, I changed them. No need for 31's either.
I have new 235x15 grabber 2's
Just leaves, springs & perches.

This site is great and I have been doing a ton of work from all the posts that I needed to search through and I thank you for keeping up the great work and help.

Rough Country has a 1.5" lift that is a 2 out of 10 as far as difficulty to install. think it's like $200 and it'll get you right back to where you want to be 95% street the other 5% fishin.

I found 3 different OEM HD sets, use the 7" arc?
I can leave the front height alone with new springs correct?
Thanks for helping

Yeah, IIRC those will give an inch or so lift over factory height, probably a huge jump from your sagging leafs.

And your fronts should be OK. You may have a 'raked' look until the rear settles.

I put a 2 inch BDS lift on the wife's xj (2000) and we have no vibes, or front or rear axle problems. We used all new front and rear springs, shocks and lower control arms. For a 2 inch lift you can keep your new shocks and tire's will look fine, also you don't need the lower control arms I did it cause they are a better set. good luck. You also can use any two inch full kit, I used BDS because of the no hassel warrenty for life and it's not made oversea's
