99 xj wont idle

99 xj wont idle
when i start up my 99 cherokee it starts no problem but when i let go or the gas it shuts off and doesnt stay idleing. what could it be and what could i do? thanks

try cleaning you iac sounds like it might be your problem it controls the idle of your rig if you need to no how to clean it just search around there are a few threads on how to clean it
