Default 99 xj brake problems

hey guys! last week i decided that it was time for new brakes up front on my 99 xj. i bought new pads, rotors, and even got new calipers too! i put in all my new parts, and did my brake bleed. but after i torque down my wheels, the entire assembly locks up and the front wheels wont turn. ive gone through everything 3 different times now, and have no idea what the problem is. I NEED HELP!!

Sounds like some wrong parts somewhere. Try tightening the lug nuts just enough to feel the wheel starting to seize as you turn it. Then look to see where the binding up might be as you rotate the wheel? Might take two people.

Possibly wrong calipers? or put them in on the wrong sides?

I bet they gave you the wrong rotors, the rotors from pre 96 will not fit 97 to 01 as there about a 1/4 inch deeper than than the newer xjs set them side by side you can see the difference. There hitting your hub and will not move.

I just posted thread about 99 rotors and front wheel hubs!!!!!!!
They are different, they have different height, and parts sellers don't know which one you need, and nobody does, unless you measure height.

Yeah I've kind of learned the best way to avoid this problem is to pull the part and bring that sucker right into the parts store for visual confirmation. I've had to return one too many parts by trying to buy ahead of time. Wrong brake pads, wrong window regulator, etc.
