99 Jeep Cherokee Sport having a starting issue, need help
Hey my jeep cherokee is having some issues, a while ago i had my guage cluster go out and a code come up on my dash. The code was for the Crankshaft Position Sensor which i know is a common problem, that issue hasnt came up in a while but recently my car started to die while it was driving, it would simply turn itself off and i would have to pull over and restart it and everything was fine. Yesterday she started to have trouble turning over and died a couple times while idling. I believe that this is still a CPS sensor issue but i need to confirm before i order the sensor and have my mechanic install it. Thanks for any and all help.
On a side note how many hours of labor is the install on a CPS in a 99 Cherokee Sport NO 4x4

Sounds exactly like mine did when my crankshaft sensor went out. You can test the sensor if you have a voltmeter. Just unhook it and check for resistance between the A and C terminals, which if I remember right is the far right and far left posts. There is a write up in the technical write up section that explains how to test it and how to replace it if you want to tackle it yourself. I did it one morning before work because my rig would crank but wouldn't start.
