Default 98 xj hesitation stalling issues

Figured I should ask the experts, everyday I start the jeep up it idles just fine then as I head down the road it starts hesitating very bad and almost dies on me and i have to let off the gas when it does this or it makes it alot worse and will backfire up around throttle body somewhere. Here is where I am puzzled, this last about 3-4 minutes then it runs just fine and will not do it again untill I turn the jeep off. this ALWAYS happens with in the first 5 minutes of a trip and will also do this if i go start the jeep and let it sit there and idle in park but then it cures right up after 3-4 minutes and WILL NOT do it again no matter how long I drive it. No CEL and no codes either. any help aprecciated
