'98 Horn chirp when locking
Hi Guys,
My '98 XJ Limited has the keyless entry with the 2-button fob. It never used to honk the horn when you locked it, but started doing it after a battery change, for about 6 months. It stopped doing it again a few years back, but I want to re-activate it.
I've tried holding down the lock button for 5-10 seconds, then pressing the unlock button at the same time several times, but it won't work.
Are there any other tricks to try, or methods to make it work?
The horn works fine from the steering wheel button, in case that's any help.
Thanks!

On my '98 I hit the lock button twice & it chirps.
I just tried the "hit my UNLOCK button 3 times" & it didn't work.

Well I've tried pressing the unlock button 3 times, as that's what the leaflet with the owner's manual says, but that did nothing, and I've also tried that in the past.
Hitting lock twice also does nothing, but if I do it 3 times it does an alarm chirp. According to the manual, this is because it disables the motion sensors.
That chirp is different to the one I'm after though... I just want it to honk the horn when I lock it, but nothing seems to work!
It's nothing major, but it's driving me insane not being able to figure it out!
