its a 98 jeep cherokee 4.0 stock. i was the middle car in the accident and i hit the car in front of me and another person hit me in the rear.Not that bad of damange in the front or rear.The air bag DID NOT go off.Went to pick the car from the tow place and now it wont start.It cranks,Battory is strong but wont start. Im pretty good with cars and if anyone have any ideas what it could be it be helpfull thanks, Charlie

This could also be it , had a problem with a 2000 we rebuilt that was hit in the rear. The fuel pump is connected to the output line with a flimsy plastic tube affair , I believe it is meant to break in an accident . The fuel pump still pumps but it just goes back in the tank and not to the motor, you have to drop the tank and take the whole unit out from the top. Good luck.

would this be in the tank with the pump or along with the lines

It's in the tank, you have to replace the entire unit. The way it's made it can't be fixed.
