The other day when I started my jeep, it wouldn't start..if I stepped on the gas, the engine would run, but as soon as I took it off, it stopped running entirely.

To be completely honest, I'm completely inept when it comes to auto repair. I love my Jeep, I've had it for 7 years now, and I'm tired of taking it to a shop to find out I could have repaired it myself for a fraction of the cost.

So, I'd really like to be pointed in the right direction (I apologize for the lack of details), if at all possible.
