97' Cherokee Sport sitting on 3'' Rough Country
What's up CherokeeForum!
So, i recently bought a 97' Jeep cherokee sport.
she was owned by some guy who owned a Auto/Tire shop.
He had bought the cherokee from someone... ran a motor swap (with paperwork) put new tires on it, new water pump, all the basics.
She's a base model.. and i was able to get her for 3200 with 139k on this
motor swap. Wasn't a bad deal.
Well, I ordered a 3'' Rough Country suspension. Going to try and get her up on some 31's with some basic Pro-comp wheels (Minor backspacing)
I might cut the fenders off, but that's debatable.
Future mods; Roof Rack/Safari Rack For full spare tire. light rack across the safair rack. mounted windsheild lights. 2'' Pro-comp puck w/ 2'' Tera-flex shackles.
These are some quick photo's of me installing the lift.
I failed at taking the photo (yes shocks were included)
This is the cherokee.. before the lift.
So, popping the front coils off. Disconnected the sway bar. the OEM shocks and dropped the axle.
OEM COILS vs. RCX COILS.
After doing that. we took off the OEM Control Arms.
This amazed me. such a upgrade from stock to this massive
RCX control arm.
So we got the RCX coil & Shock in...
and of course. i failed to take a picture.
so we moved on to the rear. the Add-a-Leaf
This was a piece of cake. flexed the rear axle from side to side.
with a car jack. popped the bolt off holding the leaf's together.
After taking out the stock leaf's, we slipped in the RCX add-a-leaf.
slid the bolt in. & it fit right into place. Compressed the leaf's with E-clamps. Tighten the bolts. Put new 3'' U-Bolts on it.
tighten them down. & BAM! ADD-A-LEAF
Rough Country ftw.
and... we put it all back together.
tires back on etc.
and this is the product. I am veryyyy veryy veryy happy with it.
perfect 3'' lift. easy to install. cherokee sits flush. very stiff.
i love it.
here she is. (On 29's... waiting to get the 31's)

Looks good! Any pics of it sitting level on flat ground?
Did the lift come with those control arms or did you have to order them separate? If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for everything?
