The Jeep died yesterday and the 5v circuit was good so we decided to replace the cam sensor. I measured all resistances on the new one compared to the old one. almost all were completely different. Upon examination of the old one, there was a worn spot on the actual sensor area. Like I mentioned, we replaced the old one because it was wobbly. We called autozone and asked if a rebuilt distributer comes with the sensor and they said it didn't. They must have put our old one on the new one when they took in the back to match it up. They handed it to us as a unit so we assumed that it was new also. 3 months of breaking down and testing circuits for an obvious problem. What a pain!
