Default 96 Cherokee. Few more questions.

I am getting ready to order parts for when I bring my Cherokee home hopefully later this week.

I decided I am going with the Rough Country 3" series II lift with new full leaf packs. I need to know what rear axle my 2WD 96 Cherokee has in order to order the correct kit. Don't have it here to check till later this week and was hoping someone might know for sure.
Also, I was wondering, with the 3" rough country lift if I am going to have to replace the track bar with an adjustable one or if I'll be ok leaving that stock. I would like to get some quick disconnect sway bar links and plugs ,wires, cap, rotor, and coil for a tune-up if I can save the $200+ on the track bar.

Thanks for all your help.

It's either a Dana 35 or a Chrysler 8.25, no way to tell without a picture. If you are sure it is the stock axle go to the link below and get a build sheet, it will tell you what axle you have.

So I am bringing my jeep home tomorrow. THe only problem it has is that the freeze plug on the back side of the head/water jacket has a hole in it. I need to replace it, but have NO idea how I am going to pop it out without pulling the block. Does anyone have any advice on this?

I am also apparently too stupid to figure out which rear axle this is, so here is a pic, perhaps someone can help me out. I THINK it is the Chrysler 8.25 - the jeep does NOT have ABS brakes.

Sorry the pic is terrible, hopefully someone can see this so I can order in the morning!

Ok. I may have to do that. Is there anything I will have to do besides replace the head/valve cover gaskets if I do that?

Wouldn't hurt to replace the Intake/Exhaust Gasket. Also check to see if you have a cracked Exhaust Manifold, it's pretty common.
