'96 Cherokee died
Friday I was driving and it just died. No Sputtering or anything, just off. It will crank but will not start. It threw the Check Engine Light on. I got a scanner and read the codes, p0201, p0202, p0203, p0204, p0205, p0206. Injector Circuit Open.
I found a micro fuse that is a 30a under the hood that was blown. Took the fuse block off and found one prong is power from the battery, the other goes to the ASD (Auto Shut Down) relay. Replaced the fuse and tried to start it again and it promptly blew. I took the cover off the ASD and it seems to be working properly. Clicks on for a second then off, and it clicks back on while cranking.
Can anyone help?

i had the EXACT same thing happen. Check the wires going to the o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold. The harness comes out of the front of the fuel rail, then goes down to the o2 sensor.
Mine had melted against the exhaust grounding out.
If it is not that, it is some sort of ground wire happening.

Sure enough, my wires going to the o2 sensor where resting on the header and had melted to it exposing one wire. I will take car of that and see if that cures it. Thanks.
( I have unloomed almost my whole FI harness up to the injector rail trying to locate a short.)

Yep I rerouted it too.
I am glad I have this jeep. No rust and runs great.
But now some gauges stopped working. The ground is still connected to the block, tach works, speedo intermittently, and fuel gauge likes to read full now.
