95 xj no start
We got a 95 xj we took out the fuel pump and put an after market in line one in and we pulled the gauge cluster. Now we have no spark. It's a trail rig we bought ran fine. We have fuel pressure. We're stumped

The cluster should have nothing to do with spark. It might just be a weird coincidence. Are you actually checking for spark by pulling a plug, grounding it, cranking the engine and watching? You need a strong, BLUE, snapping spark to start the engine. White/orange/yellow indicates a weak spark.
The #1 cause of no spark on the 4.0 is the crankshaft position sensor. The #2 cause would be the ignition coil. Both can be tested but testing the crank sensor is not always conclusive. If you buy a crank sensor, do yourself a favor and buy a Mopar unit from a Jeep dealer. Aftermarket crank sensors are "hit and miss" with a lot of miss.

Sweet!? I got a cps from the zone only place open.. So I'll put it on.. And what about cps controlling injectors? Shouldn't we smell fuel? Thanks

Let us know if the new crank sensor resolves it.
If not, keep in mind that you must have approximately 31 psi of fuel pressure for the engine to start and if you are still getting NO spark (verified), then test your ignition coil.

Well new cps did not work. We are getting a new coil to try. If the coil doesn't work we are going to the junkyard today to get ourselves a PCM to try and hopefully that resolves ot
