Default 93 xj steering

Ok so I've my Jeep on the road now and the problem I'm running into is the steering, I can turn it half a turn before it turns any. What could be the cause of that?

Worn out parts- track bar/bushings, control arms/bushings, tie rid/ends, u joints.. Probably needs an alignment, balance and rotation..

That's a LOT of play for your basic worn steering components. The first thing I would check is the bolts holding your steering box to the frame. Common problem. You realy cannot check what exactly is worn/loose without a second person working the steering wheel back/forth while you're underneath with a light source. Just wiggling components by hand is not enough to reveal what parts are loose.

I found out why the steering was off, I got to look and rite behind the steering box the frame is cracked so its letting it twist when I go to turn. I'm gonna get some angle iron and use the 220 stick welder and reinforce it

You need to Stop-Drill the cracks first (all of them), then clean out the cracks before welding them closed.

A stick welder is darn tough to use on the thin steel, I suggest a Mig welder using shielding gas.

Angle iron won't give you the strength you'll need to prevent future cracks. Consider plating the area with 11ga. and using reinforcing plates at the gear box mounting location.

My mig welder is outta gas and my neighbor has a stick welder so I thought I'd use it. It hasn't cracked all the way through and I think that could be the reason why it gets the death wobbles
