If you have big tires you may just be past the limits of the brake system, or you need to do some leg press exercises.

Have you verified that the booster works? Pump the pedal a few times to assure there's no residual vacuum, hold moderate pressure on the pedal and start the engine, pedal should sink some. After turning off the engine you should have at least two pumps of vacuum reserve in the booster before the pedal gets hard again.

I had brake problems with my '91 and spent a lot of money replacing parts.

Install new rear wheel cylinders and see if it improves... I had a leaky wheel cylinder and didn't even know it.. They looked good, but was giving up pressure when applying the brakes. Also make sure the rear backing plates don't have grooves where the shoes come into contact... smooth the pads down with emery cloth.

Replace those flex lines with braided stainless steel... that will improve the feel of the pedal some. Every little bit helps. But you need to remember it only has a single diaphram master cylinder... they didn't improve the brakes until 1996 or thereabout.

I have all OEM parts on mine and it stops like a champ now. A firm pedal like it had when it was brand new.

don't understand what you mean about me not listening to answers and why ask ??? I have done all the things people are suggesting and I DO listen to all replys, and I thank all of them, but when people keep reposting my comments and don't seem to read what I am saying, I get confused....anyway, thanks for all replies and I will drop this as it seems that I am doing something wrong to earn a commit like the last one....thanks
