Default 91+ transfer case ins a 97+

I need a transfer case.
I was wondering if i could put a 91+ TC in my 97?
I have a 97 5spd.

First question is, is the bolt pattern the same from a 5spd to an automatic?

Second is, is the plugs the same on these?

Thanks guys.

When i had my 87 (which is in my avatar) i swapped from a NP242 to a NP231 and the 4wd light connector did not plug in correctly so it never worked again. I have a 97 now and would like everything to work like factory.

I need to proofread my stuff.

I read that you can still use the shift lever, not 100%, and I also read that you can order a wire to conect the transfer case like factory. Again, I just read it somewere, I dont know where I was just searching and came across it.

I just realized, I am a retard. I should have told you that it will bolt up but the spline counts are not right. 97+ have 29 spline and 96- had 27 splines.
So the answer is no, it will not work.
