I had a leaky injector at the body ,not the o ring , and it was late and cold and got one from the parts store but when I took it out it was a tan or brown one I guess for 1991 and up. I t worked and no leak. Will this hurt or do any harm or do people change to this model of injector. I know is more flow rate. Is a 89 jeep Cherokee 4.o auto. I will change the rest when this stupid winter decides to stop

 

Use the number on the injector to see what you actually got from parts store. Should be a bosch type number on it. Injector info below.

The following is pretty much what most go by when replacing Jeep injectors.

87-90 4.0 - Bosch 0280155746, from Volvo's.

91-98 4.0 - Bosch 0280155703 from late 90's dodge Neons and few others. Some people use Bosch 0280155710/0280155700, From old Ford V-8's if I remember correctly.

99-04 4.0 - Bosch 0280155784 from late 90'sand early 2000 Dodges Neons as well.

The 703 and 784 have a different plug, same injector.
