i have recently swapped a head from a 94 onto.my 90 it was smoking a local mechanic told me the valves were sticking and suckin oil into the combustion chamber i now am having a firing problem it starts and idles really rough and its missing on number 3 and 6 cylinders i have checked and replaced every single thing its just not giving me any luck please help

 

Before you put the 94 head on did you get it decked or make sure it wasnt warped or cracked?

 

it came off a running no smoking truck was a part out bc he was doing a diesal swap

 

sounds like the same issues im having im bout to the point of parting mine out its a bit to much for me

 

they banned a great guy geeze this forum is worse than aol was back in the 90s

 

What are cyl compression readings on cyls?

 

switch 3 and 6 wires on dist cap see what happensz

bowfadeez=anothadayridin....... same issue same era engine, swapped a 94 head and it has the same issue....

order new rocker bridges as suggested since you damaged yours upon installation. get a field service manual and follow the instructions.......
