I've got a set of those that I pulled off my 90 parts Jeep. One bracket's a little tweaked. Never got around to putting them on anything though.
I have no extraction point on the front of my Jeep. I tried to pull someone out once and ripped my bumper off. It was 15 bucks and I couldn't turn it down for that price.

I go to install the tow hook and my front end is so jacked up that I need to get in there with a grinder/drill and clean it up. If you look closely you can tell I heated it up to "straighten" it out after I ripped the bumper off. Already cleaned up the driver side when I did the C ROK kit for my steering.

Felt like wrenching some more because I can't make too much noise at night with the front end. So I go to pull my plugs and investigate as I'm about six thousand miles into the engine. I was happy with the results. Had a clean even burn and gap on all six. However I go to check the air filter and there is a little bit of oil in there. No the oil isn't overfilled. So I pulled the ports on the valve cover. The top one was on the radiator side and the bottom was firewall side. Is this correct? Is this normal? Am I over reacting?

You pull the valve cover and chop like an inch off each valve cover stem and drill a half inch hole in the back of each

That's backward IIRC. At least on a Renix.Originally Posted by bubbarules1958

As far as I can tell....Originally Posted by bubbarules1958
So the one with the pinhole needs to be on the firewall side of the valve cover?
It's a metered orifice, not a pinhole!! LOL.

Yea, that matters. The CCV valve/orifice goes on the rear, and it's tube goes to the intake manifold. (in front of the TB on my 90). The front vent tube goes to the air cleaner.
The CCV valve has a 2.6mm orifice, (sort of a designed vacuum leak). It also will cut flow under high vacuum, and has a check valve to prevent a backfire from going into the crankcase. I often use starting fluid for cleaning since it's cheap, dissolves stuff, comes out under pressure, then evaporates completely.
Your rig is looking nice Bud! I might be headen down to the River next month Btw.

Thanks guys. I have mine on backwards. Easy fix. Yeah Flintstone we should meet up and what not.

Definitely! A Bub Burger and a Draft is in order. (Just, please, don't park your Jeep on mine!) So you are 91...Here, a bit down on the right is "pre 97" FSM. Guess it's actually 94 which should match yours pretty well> http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/vbindex.php
Picked this up for forty bucks today. Need to protect the pinion on my 44. Not going to use the slider. Thanks Pappy from the Jeep club
