D7 & C5 are grounded.
Just to be complete here, I did find the C & D on the square plug. It's the black wire from the TPS that turns to tan/Orange at the plug at the D terminal, (then goes to D3). It has continuity.

Ok. Sounds like your TCU is not giving D3 a ground.
And, your TPS is shot on the trans side.
Just put a temp ground on the tan/orange wire and retest the TPS

Yea, I just did that (again). Got aspirin? The 5.3 on my Red A, drops to 4.6 when I add the ground to D, the tan/orange.
With the ground I get about 4.3 from B. That 4.3 drop's almost a volt to around 3.5 as I move the throttle to wide open.
Added>> before calling it a day I re-checked the sweep off B without the added ground on D. Got a "fair" sweep from 4.7 down to 2.3V. Yes, I did that before, Idk if it's intermittent or I didn't have my pin in solid.... Gotta get my hands on another TPS, (so I can autopsy this one!)
I keep a wire run through from the engine to the cab for watching various things. I can hook it to D and try grounding it in the cab to see if that alters the trans function. Maybe tomorrow.

So you are pretty sure it should sweep similar to the engine side? (.85 to 4.5?). I'll maybe hit the JY ...Monday, might even see if I can grab a TCU as well.

I have the TCU bypass selector switch for going down in second with having it down-shift under 33 mph. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/dec...ammage-105739/
Been monitoring my Tps voltage to the TCU, both with the tps hooked to the seemingly faulty ground on the TCU, and with it manually grounded.
The trans side of the tps does not sweep down from around 5 to one? depressing the throttle.

OK. So I drilled a hole and sprayed cleaner in there. I've gotten some work and been busy. Was getten by beacause I have manual a by-pass switch. Guess what! She seems to have "come back". Working perfectly as far as I can tell. I'll have more on testing the TPS, and it's ground at the TCU. Just an up-date. Is at least "tricky territory" for me. (maybe for anyone....

No. It's a Renix. 10-12, fifteen lives? It's down shifttin at lower speed, going up trough them well. I need to check again. Might, or might not kick from 4 to 3 when I punch it around 50-60 mph. It seems to be working. No idea if flushing it with contact cleaner helped it or not.
AND, MUCH THANKS RADI, FOR TELLING US ALL ABOUT THE WHITE, TCU switch on the brake pedal!
