90, so no C101. Maybe you should just ground B and check your TPS again.

That is what I asked yesterday!

I wonder if I could just go ahead and ground the B terminal, (on the square trans side), to at least test the TPS function.

OK, I'm understandably short. Btw my dad was a brilliant engineer who did not like electrons at all. My thought is there should be "electron court". "So where you at 6:53 on Feb 30 th?" Arrrrr. Morning light.

So, no continuity to d3. Jumper installed, still no continuity to ground from B.

Sure. Do it. You were the one all worried about feedback, voltage spike to the TCU, and were wearing your tinfoil hat while working under the dash yesterday. Not me.

I'll try back-probing D3, hadn't done that. Thanks.

I did/have done that! That is why my foll is all burnt up. (buy Alocloa!)

(Maybe I'll ground trans b in the morning, but I'll back probe D3 now)

That way we'll know if the tCU is grounding at all.

You grounded B from the TPS to a known good ground?

Just to be clear, I was proposing that that the reason the sensors ground through the tcu, pcm, or ecu, is to protect them from spikes from the ground side. Don't really know, but I've hooked jumper cables backwards, and am glad that didn't blow every sensor.

I was asking if anyone knew if I could test my trans side of my TPS, grounding it direct.

I agree it was designed that way more than likely. It was just a good lead-in to the tinfoil hat comment.

So whaddya find as far as back-probing D3 for continuity to ground?

So but the 3rd one (in from the top), Tan orange has no ground. Even tried it running. So, predictably it makes no sense. Before I let it go, any recollection of D3 being about there? And morning light and another look makes sense. Thanks Pete!

Idk. maybe jump the B's? I got to wonder though, if they didn't ground the trans side through the TCU for a reason.

Yea...earlier I used my thrashed jumper cables from the road warriors set. got 37 ohms... likely the cables....

I mean I checked the black ground.. there is not one "next to it" at first look

They grounded the engine side through the ECU.

Is D7 grounded when backprobing?
