I don't know what kind of jeep you have, but mine is a '98 Limited and I have a temperature sensor that tells me what the temperature outside is. The temp. sensor (and ONLY this one on mine) has this accordian looking connection on it. I had to use a hammer to get that sunuva B back on after I disconnected it.
It ran (from the side of the engine you picture it on) through the headlight area underneath the grille (don't try to church it up boy!) and attached right in front of the radiator under the grille.
You might have something else though with yours being a '90. Chapter 12 in the Haynes manual knows all... on electrical wiring anyways. I'm an electrical guru-in-training (self trained by the other side of my bipolar personality that IS a guru).

Probably took it off because it wouldn't shut off.. I have a 90 as well and my hood light never shut off and killed my battery one too many times so I disconnected it

I did the same thing to mine, and all of a sudden multiple issues appeared. Shifting was off, it would idle really high, then drop back to normal, died every now and then, and finally, wouldn't stay running without spraying starter fluid into the open throttle body. Found out, the tps doesn't like to get wet and went bad. I found out the hard way. I changed everything I could see, except the tps. Ended up giving in and taking it to a shop, $350 later, all is well. It's a $40 part, and literally takes less than a minute to remove and reinstall. Mine also is a '90.
