IIWM I'd pull and check the fuel injectors sooner rather than later. Air/fuel mix is determined by injector pulse width (assuming you're getting air)(check air intake for animal nests), and although improperly adjusted sensors or sensor failure could increase injector on-time, a strong smell of fuel (and this is relative) suggests that one or more are open all the time (stuck).
Post pictures of spark plugs when you pull them out.
Injector resistance looks to be 16 ohms.
There are a number of modes of operation, each one uses a selection of sensor information-- for example:
BTW do you have a multimeter? How are electrickity skilz?
Hey guys, sending an update because I’ve got some major progress. Now the car runs without me smelling any fuel! Since starting this thread, I have replaced the air filter and performed cruisers ground refresh. I am definitely in a good direction, but I have also noticed my idle stumbles a little bit and was wondering what the cause of that could be?
not yet, I am planning on doing it soon though. Another concern of mine that I forgot to mention was I hear a ticking/clicking/popping sound from my valve train after I shut the engine off. Is that just the springs cooling down or should I take a deeper look at that?
