The Chassis Saver is amazing! It takes away so many worries once it's on! Need to buy more though, my quart dried up
I still have a lot to cover, but as far as my patches go, I coated before they went together so there aren't many places for rust to start
I have a lot of metal to cover before winter hits! In Maine, they thought it was necessary to not only apply salt to the roads, but liquid calcium as well
So everything rusts even faster! Chassis saver however does not get affected by it! I will keep the updates coming! How are your projects doing? Pics! Pics!

Nice! Glad to hear about the Chassis Saver. I still haven't opened mine because I'm doing a lot of welding, grinding on the interior and other things before I'm ready to lay it down. I can't wait--although it isn't looking like I'll get this massive project done before snow hits

I know what you mean, I am struggling to get the loose ends sewn up, but the days are short and the cold is coming so fast! I don't think I'll have the whole underside coated

I noticed your link right after I posted that haha. I checked out all the work you've done, and I am very impressed! I would love to have a garage and a daily driver so I could actually take this thing apart. Right now I do most of my work in the NAPA parking lot
That's one perk of working there! Plus the discount rocks
I really liked the LED mod you did, I think I may do that as well.
I will go a bit
here, but this is a picture of my brush guard I built for my Blazer when I had it.

Nice! About the LEDs, I have another write-up on that too and all the specific LEDs I used. One thing I hate is that when people show the LED work they did, they don't post the specific LED model numbers. The thing with them is that there are SO many different kinds of LEDs, there are so many possibilities. I hate when people aren't specific! haha. But, anywho, back on topic--what are your next plans? Looks like you still have work to do there on your rocker!

Yes, I saw that post and am thankful you put model numbers since I'm not the best at electrical
It will be helpful! I like having plenty of interior light, I'm not a fan of searching for an hour in the dark for something (especially in the winter!)
Yeahhh that end of the rocker is going to be a toughy, My patch will have to wrap around the backing plate and seal the bottom and then I need to make the cosmetic part that has to look decent.. I'm a bit stumped on it, but I will most likely just end up winging it and it'll come out just fine! So far so good anyway

Yeah, my rocker is toast unfortunately, so I'll but cutting the whole thing out and welding in the 2x6. HUGE project, I'm a little intimidated by it but trying to remain confident. The hardest part I think will be cutting out the passenger side as well because that rocker is fine.

Yeah, Rocker panels are a peach! I can't wait to see those new ones though! My passenger side panel was pretty well screwed too, I think I have a video or two. I'll go put them up!

Here is my list of things that wound up longer than I thought! I have more progressive videos, but this is the very beginning

Ouch man! Cheers to you for at least trying to fix this mess...but if you are going to do it right you better look at some serious welding. My jeep is nowhere NEAR that rusty! haha...good luck with all of that, I feel much better about mine after seeing all that. Thanks!
What sort of prep did you do to the axle w/ the chassis saver?

I would love to be able to weld it in, but I have no access to a welder so rivets are as good as I can get
the rocker was a *****, but i'm so glad it's on there haha.
The sad part about all this rust is that this isn't half as bad as what I've seen around here on way newer vehicles
stuff they put on roads is toxic! I'm glad I've been catching all the bad parts now though. Would be nice to have time to get it all at once though, it's getting too cold outside to paint

There are some holes under the right rear floorboard too, right above the muffler. Unfortunately I have had to shove that on the back burner, too. And that front corner and around the rocker panel is about all I've chassis savered.... I'm so far behind!
As far as prep work, I wire brushed it and wiped off the dust. Chassis saver likes rust haha. The only way to get it to stick to new metal is to scuff it up. I used a wire cup on a drill on my new metal and it seemed to do the job.
