89 cherokee Mitsubishi starter
Starting problems- hit starter a few times and then you can key start it. Have starter out now put power to it works fine. Thinking starter is ok but do these have brushes that maybe should be replaced before reinstalling.
Also any other advice would be appreciated. I know enough about repairing to get myself in trouble. Darn glad son is pretty good at it.Thanks Ken

Bought starter today but too darn cold to put it in , hopefully tomorrow will get it done plus bleeding the brakes. Will have to tighten the steering up also. Likes to wander on pavement too much. steering stab. is loose at frame. Need to get it out of way so I can get at my Bolens Husky snowmobile. Starter in and brakes bled.
On the adjusters ? Best way to adjust them , It has been a long time since I did one. That was on my 77 Cherokee and I go them too tight.
