89 auto tran.
i have an 89 xj 4.0 auto i beleave to be AN aw4 it will only shift manually it don't slip just wont go if u put it in drive tell you r up to speed. sure it is a sensor but don't know witch one or were to find it. any ideas

Up under the passenger side dash, below the glovebox, is the TCU which operates the trans. Right near it is an inline fuse in the harness. Check that fuse first.
