so i went on ahead and tested the cps just like you guys said and i set my multimeter to record the highest voltage produced. I got around 0.120 VAC. So im pretty sure thats not good. Is there a way i could check my ICM just to make sure its not failing either?

Supper! If you are solid in that being .12 AC volts, you found your problem. That ECU is a pretty hardy beast, and none would work right getting .12 volts anyway.

i went on ahead and reserved one from NAPA i got the $30 one so hopefully its the right one. They are having it shipped rushed delivery from columbus and they said itll be there tomarrow morning at 0800. So if this isnt the problem, just for S&G's but where would i go from there, what would be the next guess?

So i got the new CPS from NAPA and i did everything i was told too. Drilled out the CPS bolts holes to 3/8" and routed the wire right. I went on ahead and checked the voltage in the harness while cranking, so yeah im only getting .35 VAC. So should i take it back to NAPA? I dont know whats going on with this dang heep of mine but i need to get it fixed ASAP.

So i went out and rechecked everything. Went on ahead to make sure all me electrical connections were refreshed, verified the elimination of the C101 connector just to make sure i didnt mess anything up. Fuel pump is running when i turn the key over, and i have pressure at the fuel rail. my distributor is connected all good with all the spark plug wires on in the right order with 1 being at "5" so on so forth. I have a new coil, CPS VAC is in spec according to everyones requirements. All my vacuum lines are good including the MAP sensor line. No tape whatsoever. I cleaned the throttle body and the intake box. I just dont know where to go now. I really am lost. I can see why people dont like these engines. But im not known for ever giving up so im going to keep pressing on. So if anybody knows what i missed or somthing please just pipe in. I really could use some expert advice right now.

If no spark at all, I would see if you have voltage to the coil. I think the ECU sends 5V to terminal B on connector 2. Also check to see what A on Connector 1 reads. Voltmeter on DC volts.
Dipstick Ground is very important here too. Hopefully you've fixed that up along the way.
