Now that I have finally gotten the Cherokee on the road legally, I am starting to work on some other things that need looking at. 1st on the list...since winter is upon us is the Rear Window Heating element. I have checked the fuses and wiring...and the best I can tell it still isn't heating at all. Before I replace it with another rear door...is there anything else that I should be checking?

After this we tackle the Instrument Panel and Headliner.

Thanks,

Access the wiring and see if it has power to it first,if not trace it back to the fuse panel, make sure you have good ground. The power for the element is behind the rear panel and the wiring runs along the drivers side behind the lower trim,it is easy to get to.

Mine had same issue and the switch on the front panel fixed it.

I will be looking at it this weekend. If it is a switch...no problem...easy to replace. I have the multimeter ready to go on Saturday to do some troubleshooting and hopefully will be able to repair sometime this weekend.

Thanks,

Mine ran on the driver's side, and crossed over the floor approximately under the seat.
The positive was worn completely through by one of those "locators" that the harness clips to. After splicing and soldering the joint, it works fine.
