I have an idea. Good possibility your CCV tubes/orifice are restricted or your IAC is not working.

That stuff's gotta be in good shape. Napa has replacements.

Pete, I'm totally in the dark here. How the heck is the CCV vent gonna screw up the idle when he put's it in drive? Not knowing better I have to guess the IAC isn't compensating for the extra drag????

"34", What do you mean by "set the idle"? Did you mess with the stop screw? If so, NO! That needs to be set just so, so the plate doesn't quite touch the Throttle body, (and make a groove). The IAC is what lets the air through.

Idle Air Control

Just making sure on the CCV. It's part of the idle system.

IAC is a possibility, too.
