87 cherokee 4.0 idle problem
Yes I did from the instructions you gave me and it works it idles where its supposed to or at like 900 but when I put it in drive it drops down to about 300 rpms and idles like ****

I have an idea. Good possibility your CCV tubes/orifice are restricted or your IAC is not working.

Pete, I'm totally in the dark here. How the heck is the CCV vent gonna screw up the idle when he put's it in drive? Not knowing better I have to guess the IAC isn't compensating for the extra drag????
"34", What do you mean by "set the idle"? Did you mess with the stop screw? If so, NO! That needs to be set just so, so the plate doesn't quite touch the Throttle body, (and make a groove). The IAC is what lets the air through.
