8.25 axle seals
hello everybody i have a 2001 cherokee with the 8.25 rear and i have heard that to replace the axle seals you have to send the axle to the machine shop is this true or are the just press in seals at the end of the tubes just like any other normal axle any help would be appreciated

lol, No.
Support the Jeep, Remove the wheels and brake drums, Remove the cover, remove the c-clips, slide the axles out, pull the seal and the bearing. Replace the seal and bearing and put it all back together.

Greetings. Be carefull when you get your new seals. Most of the online sites and auto parts store lsits the seals for a Dana 35. Take the measurements or old seal with you when you get hte new one.
