I happened to find a matching set of axles at the yard today of the d30 non vac and a 8.25 27spine. Is the two extra spline worth the difference of getting a new carrier and resetting gears? The biggest tire size id go is prob 33's with 4.10 its going to be a upgrade from 3.55. I don't remember if they made 27 spline upgrade shafts if so maybe upgrade to those also.

Well is this worth it i should be asking? I already have a xj 44 and a newer non vac d30 that i was going to rebuild completely.
I would really like to get a set of waggy 44s to have the lock outs without spending a ton of money on the 30 lockout kit. Plus a stronger axle also.
But also a 8.25 that's already set up in gears is a lot easier to slap in and go.
